Spain’s José Hermida has extended his contract with the «Multivan Merida Biking Team» for another two years, focussing on the Olympic cross country discipline as up until now. Hermida is one of the very few mountainbikers who can beat olympic champion Julien Absalon. In his longterm carreer, the Spaniard won almost everything – exept the elite worldchampion and the overall worldcup. It is Hermidas goals to change this in 2009.

Since five years, José Hermida is racing for «Multiavn Merida Biking Team» and became meanwhile an important person for Meridas product ingenieering. Together with Ralph Näf, Hermida was involved in developing the award wining «Ninety-Six», one of the lightest und most succesful fullsuspension mountainbikes.

José Antonio Hermida ha renovado esta semana por dos años por el equipo MULTIVAN MERIDA, aprovechando su desplazamiento a Taiwan, para visitar la sede central de MERIDA.
