Hermida travelled yesterday to the German city of Heubach to compete in one of the races included in the German Cup (Bundesliga). The race in Heubach is one of the classics in the German calendar. This circuit, known by all the riders, is one of the most demanding. It features very steep climbs that bring the riders to the highest point of the circuit. From there, riders head a thrilling descend towards the finish line. Jose described his sensations today: “I am very happy. I have felt really well all through the race and I still had an extra gear left. Absalon has opened a gap in one of the descends and the group of 4 behind decided to reserve energies and fight for the podium positions left. I have got to the final meters with Paulissen, but the sprint was in a descend; this made it a little bit strange and I have got the third position. I have had the same sensations as in Houffalize. I am looking forward to race at Offenburg next week”.

Hermida will race next week in Offenburg, where he will defend the leadership in the UCI World Cup.
