After a presentation from the Merida Senior Vice President, Mr. Jeng Wen Shiang, where have been explained the different aspects of the infrastructure and manufacturing process from Merida Taiwan, we have enjoyed the official team presentation and, finally, the technical introduction of the new bikes that the 2010 Multivan-Merida team will be using.

Hermida has been doing long trainning sessions in order to get a good base and get used to his new machines, that have excited once again the team riders. “The team bikes are better every season. Every year, when I get the new ones, I think that it is impossible to improve anything. However, every season details are being changed and performance increases. At the top level we race, any benefit in weight, stiffness… is a great help that gets you closer to the goals you want to achieve ”, points out the rider from Puigcerdà.

These three days, the press has had the chance to test the new bikes of the Taiwanese brand. Jose explains that “journalists are very excited. Bikes stay with the same corporate image as every year and that has made the team so easily recognizable in any race, but there are those concrete improvements that can only be felt when you ride one of these machines”.

In what comes to the goals for this season, Hermida has a clear objective. “To be World Champion is clearly the goal to fight for, I feel strong and excited to try to add that jersey to the Junior, Under-23 and Team Relay World Championships I already own”, explains a very motivated Hermida.
