Today has been a different day for the Multivan-Merida rider. Hermida has travelled to the village of El Vendrell (Tarragona) to spend a morning with the Catalan driver from the Toro Rosso squad. Alguersuari has been discussing driving techniques and tricks with the biker from Puigcerdà, who has had the chance to experience the feeling of driving a competition kart.

“It has been a great day. The truth is that the sensations you can feel driving a competition kart are incredible. The acceleration and the speed while cornering are brutal”, explained an adrenalitic Hermida.

On his side, Jose has ruled the coversation when it has come to bike handling. Alguersuari is a cyling enthusiast and is sponsored, as Hermida, by Merida. Jose has been giving him some advices of how to handle a bike in different complicated circumstances that the F-1 driver might face on two wheels. “Jaime knows how to ride a bike. You can see that he is very talented for any sport that demands speed; but there are always details that can be improved”, explained Hermida.

Moreover, it has been a good oppotrtunity for a photo session that will be used in an advertising campaign where Merida will use the image of both athletes. An article about this special day will be published in the next issue of the Spanish MTB specialized magazine Solo Bici.
