It is typical that riders of the Multivan-Merida team travel to the headquarters of the Taiwanese manufacturer in order to share a few days with the technical staff of Merida. These are the dates that allow riders to enjoy this kind of trips, non compulsory but necessary for the sake of the global project. And it has not been different in this 2009. Some riders are flying to Taiwan to spend some days in Asian territory and compete in a “show race” that the bike sponsor of the team organizes.

Hermida, as one of the veteran riders in the squad, has visited the Merida headquarters a few times. “Merida is a very serious and professional company. The level of technology they apply to their products is very high and therefore it is so important that we stay in close contact with engineers and product managers. The communication between us is always very smooth during all year, but it is always good to meet in the time between seasons, when there is less pressure and there is more time to chat” explained the rider from Puigcerdà.

Hermida will not be back until the 7th of december, thus he will not be present at the next CX Spanish Cup.
