It seems it was yesterday when Hermida got the victory in the first two rounds of the CX Spanish Cups. After that successful weekend, Hermida ended his 2009 season and enjoyed 2 weeks of holidays. It is only 10 days he has started to train and the Multivan-Merida rider is willing to race again, extra motivated by the arrival of his new CX Merida bike.

This Saturday, Hermida will race in Galicia the I GP Concello de Cambre; and on Sunday 22nd, in Asturias, he will compete in the Ciclocross Villa de Navia-VI Memorial Andrés Méndez. Both races will feature quite flat circuits and with a length of around 3.000 meters. However, the terrain might change a lot and become much more demanding if riders face rainy weather.

The competition is leaded by Javier Ruiz de Larrinaga, with 60 points, followed by Isaac Suárez, with 55, and Hermida with 50. Hermida has been overtaken by these two riders as he did not attend the third race of the Championship.
