The last two months were really demanding and this is why Hermida did a small break to recover his body for the last part of the season, that includes the World Championships and the two last World Cups, as most important races.

In one of those recovery trainning sessions, Hermida rode with agroup of big names in the motorbike scene; among them, there was Carlos Checa (currently 8th SuperBikes Circuit), Toni Elías (14th in the MotoGP circuit) and Óscar Lanza, now retired after the serious injury he suffered; they were joinned by two other common friends.

The ride was done aorund the Cerdanya area (North of Catalonia); a 3 hours road ride that included the Collada de Tossas, a 1.800 meters high climb, as main obstacle of the day. The group shew the good level all these top motor athlethes own, as they are riding their bikes regularly as another way of trainning.

Hermida explained the ride as follwos: “it is always nice to go out riding without the need of going full gas. This week has been quite relaxed, staying at home, with my family, and it has helped me reocover both phisycally and mentally. The ride with these guys has been good fun. They are really strong; we have to keep in mind that they are top athletes and that they all use bike trainning as a tool to increase their phisycal level. His shape and technique is very high”.

Hermida will race in the next Bundesliga to be held in Bad Salzdetfurth this Sunday. This is the beginning of the last part of the season, in which Hermida will do try his best at the World Championships and will try to keep that second spot he has in the World Cup overall standings.
